When you take out a Charity funeral plan, we will make a donation of £25 to any registered charity nominated by you (see our terms and conditions for the definition of an approved charity).
Surprisingly you’ll find that some charity funeral plans, from other pre-paid funeral plan providers are premium priced. Our plans offers you the best value as well as giving the chance to select which charity will benefit from your purchase.
Your donation will go to the charity of your choice but below are details of three charities that are often supported by our plan holder’s donations. In addition Golden Charter Ltd has been a long time supporter of the Woodland Trust and in addition to the £25 which we will send to your chosen charity a further donation of £2 is paid to the Woodland Trust for every funeral plan Golden Charter sells.
Marie Curie Cancer Care
Marie Curie Cancer Care is one of the UK's largest charities, best known for its network of Marie Curie Nurses working in the community to provide end of life care, totally free for patients in their own homes.
The majority of Marie Curie patients are living with cancer but the charity also cares for people with other life-limiting illnesses such as dementia, Motor Neurone Disease and heart failure. Last year alone it provided care to more than 31,000 terminally ill patients in the community and in its nine hospices.
Alzheimer's Society
Alzheimer's Society is the leading UK care and research charity for people with this disease and other dementias, their families and carers. Their research shows that 750,000 people in the UK have a form of dementia and more than half have Alzheimer's disease.
The Soldiers Charity
The Soldiers' Charity provides lifetime support to serving and retired soldiers and their families who put everything on the line to defend us, and our country.
The Soldiers' Charity offer immediate help but also look to the future too, finding the best ways to give medical, technical and financial support to give the best possible outlook for the men and women who sacrifice so much for us.
