That’s why we’re proud to partner with The Cinnamon Trust to help raise awareness of the work they do to provide reassurance that pets will continue to be loved, cared for and supported if their owners become ill, move into care or pass away.
What is The Cinnamon Trust?
For many people planning their funeral, one worry stands out: what happens to my pet? The Cinnamon Trust is the UK's specialist national charity supporting older people, terminally ill people and their pets. The charity exists to help pet owners continue caring for and enjoying the companionship of their pets when age, illness, disability make that more difficult. They ensure that no-one has to give up a much-beloved pet and no pet is ever left behind. Their mission is:
Dog walking and day-to-day pet care assistance.
Feeding and caring for pets when owners are unwell.
Transport to veterinary appointments.
Temporary care during periods of illness or hospital admission.
Long-term fostering for pets who outlive their owners.
Sanctuary care where required.
Ongoing veterinary support for pets in their care.
One of their most important services is Pet Profiling, which allows pet owners to formally record details about their pets and plan for their future care should they no longer be able to look after them themselves. The service provides reassurance that pets will continue to receive loving care, even when circumstances change.
