If you’re looking for a funeral plan to cover more than just the essentials, our Standard Plan may be suited to your needs.

Differing from our Value Plan, our Standard Plan offers additional benefits including the flexibility for your family to choose time and date of the funeral, a funeral procession from the home to the funeral location and a £1,100 allowance towards third party costs at the time of the funeral (such as the fees for cremation or burial and for the clergy or officiant fees). Please note, the Standard Plan does not include a limousine.

Third party costs

These are the costs for essential services: burial fees or cremation fees, plus the minister or officiant’s fee. They are outside the control of the funeral director but will be paid by them, to the third parties at the time of the funeral.


The Standard Plan includes a £1,100 allowance for third party costs and the value of the third party cost allowance included in your plan will grow over time. Only if third party costs were to increase by more than the growth of your plan might there be more to pay at the time of the funeral.


Please note: Our plans don’t include the purchase of a burial plot. Should you choose burial the plans include an allowance towards the opening of a new or existing grave. The purchase of a grave and any monumental work would need to be arranged separately.

*The pay monthly prices are representative based on a 50 year old purchasing a Standard Plan and paying by Low Cost Instalments with a £49 deposit over a period of 30 years.

**All coffins supplied will be wood-effect quality or better. Your funeral director will provide further guidance on the types of coffin available within your plan.

What this plan includes
