Funeral Experiences - My First Funeral
The first funeral I ever attended was my Gran’s. Despite being just 5’ 1” she was a feisty woman who liked to get her own way and attended church each Sunday. She had a very sweet tooth, liked Coronation Street and wore pink lipstick on special occasions. She credited her good health to lots of salt(!), laughter, and the odd glass of sherry.
Leaving a gift to charity in your Will
As the single biggest source of voluntary income to charities and non-profit organisations in the UK, legacy fundraising (any gift left in a person’s Will) is a vital source of income for the third sector. The problem is, however, that only 7% of people are actually doing this. Taking place from 12-18 September, this year’s Remember a Charity in your Will Week is encouraging people to consider leaving a charitable gift in their Will.
